Triathlete’s tend to be people who love to overcome obstacles who love to defy what doctors say to them, what their physio says to them and sometimes their own heads say to them. We have a good chance!!!!
There are some amazing stories in the lives of the people in our sport. great messages of persistence, patience and courage. We have a good chance!!!! getting into this sport is not easy (neither is staying in it), but when you hear the stories of people that have accomplished great things in the sport we can be inspired!! I am not talking about great times and overall finishes but having a go, being willing to put yourself on the start line when its much easier to sit on the couch at home. YOU HAVE A GREAT CHANCE of achieving your goals!!!! Remember it is not so much what you achieve by your goals, as who you become as you achieve them…..
I was lucky enough to spend some time with different people on Monday at the Vales BBQ and to my surprise THREE of our members are venturing over to Melbourne this week to run in the Melbourne Marathon! (there could be more so if you know of them put in a comment). Any one running a marathon is a little crazy but I hope you all have a great time. I THINK YOU HAVE A GOOD CHANCE!!! The three I spoke to are Morris, Bridget and Kerry(who is doing his 3rd Melbourne Marathon) So if you see these guys and girls this week make sure you encourage them and if its next week listen to their stories and be sympathetic to their waddle as they walk!!!
