Hi everyone,

Hope you have all recovered from the city to bay OK.

This weekend’s training will be as follows;

Saturday Ride:  Meeting at our normal meeting place – Next Generation Memorial Drive, North Adelaide, but seeing as the weather is on the improve, it will now be an 8am start (not 8:30am). Phil will be heading the ride this weekend. – All ability levels are welcome so please don’t hesitate to come along. We have had several new people join the club through the Ergo sessions and would like to venture out on Saturday mornings and hit the streets of Adelaide( tyres only – no skin) clip in pedals, traffic lights, and cars can be intimidating so we might get a group of riders out at the same time and head down the coast via the linear park track where we can practice getting in and out of pedals for a while before venturing on to the road down by the beach. We can still catch up with everyone for coffee afterwards!!! Let me name some people I expect to see Rano (new bike and all the gear), Olivia and Jo and anyone else who is pretty nervous about starting out, or hasn’t been out for a while. Another thing – Jo is thinking of putting together a link from this site called “Average Jo” and make it a place to share her own experiences getting into this sport and give some hints to make it easier for other newbies, (Tips, hints, fears, adventures and other stuff)- I think its a great idea if you would be interested in seeing something like that put in a comment and get her motivated!!!!! IT IS FANTASTIC SEEING THE GROWTH IN OUR CLUB ESPECIALLY WITH SO MANY NEW FACES TO THE SPORT GIVING IT A GO. Remember to give a word of encouragement to each other – It is a tough sport to start out in, even I remember that and it was over 18 years ago?!?!?

Sunday Run:  Again meeting at 8am at the front of Next generation – Lucy will lead the run this week and will cover about 12km, with the option to turn off early for those that do not want to run that far.  – Kerry and Richard are both in training for longer events, so if you want to run longer, I am sure they will appreciate the company as well.

As of next Friday, we will start a swimming session out of the Unley pool, starting at around 6pm, and a running track session on Thursday nights in the city (stay tuned for details)

Also don’t forget the Monday night Ergo session out of Rosefield Church, Highgate (near Unley) – Bring your running shoes as they are doing small run off the bike each night as well.

Have a great weekend.

This email was prepared by Darren  with lots added by me!!!

God Bless & keep Spinning
