I have not been able to find any results from the Adelaide Marathon or 1/2 marathon.
I see on Facebook one of our members Shane Johnson finished third in the 1/2 marathon and if you see his status udates it looks like he is training up a storm and will be a huge contender this season coming up.
Richard Peasgood was doing the Marathon but I have no news on how he went????
IF YOU HAVE ANY NEWS Post a COMMENT !!!
Hopefully everyone is recovering well that raced and enjoying an easy recovery day!!!!!
Have Fun
Andrew

Conditions were pretty tough with a strong north westerly wind particularly draining the full marathon runners on the way out to Glenelg then up the coats to Grange. Rich P finished with a smile and a very respectable 4:13.
In the half, Shane was flying the Vales/triathlon flag with his 3rd placing (time TBC), Britta clocked a 7 minute PB with 1:43 and I finished on 1:27:30.
Didn’t see anyone else out & about – Kerry, where were you?
These results are all unofficial – still waiting for http://www.sarrc.asn.au/results.html to be updated.
Good work everyone.
Matt
I think Asher Reynolds ran the marathon as well? How did Matty White go?
Also Adriano Pavio and Cristian Izzini competed in the Yeppon half ironman a week or two ago – not sure if you can look these results up for us Andrew?
Results are now up – see Matt’s link above.
As I have said to a few people, I was initially elated to finish but later felt I should have finished a lot nearer to my sub 4 hour target. But as they say, you run your first marathon then race your next. I’m looking forward to next year already and will hopefully be better prepared for the previously unknown territory of 30k plus.
Richard
Results I missed off last time:
Asher Reynolds ran 3:43 in the marathon
In the half:
Shane Johnson 1:16:15 (3rd)
Ryan Johnson 1:19:05 (5th)
Tonya Heard 1:25:28 (3rd female)
In Yeppoon Adriano finished in 4:43:53 (3rd in AG) & Cristian in 5:12:32
PS. I don’t think Matt White ran
Well done everyone.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been badly out of the loop. Congrats to Richard and Asher for doing the marathon in very respectable times indeed, something I’m yet to achieve. Great work also from our gun trio in the half, looking forward to seeing vales dominate this season.
Welcome back Darren and Steph from presumably the trip of a lifetime (or at least a very long time), look forward to catching up and hearing all details. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back into some training sometime….Unley pool opens this weekend so keen for a swim.
I love your site!
